Assumptions and Limitations
The following assumptions and limitations have made the provided soil distribution formulas possible. The links below also contain additional information and/or resources for further reading.
- The soil is weightless, linear elastic, isotropic and homogenous
- The soil has a plane horizontal surface
- Any loads are concerntrated at the surface and act vertically and perpendicular
- The depth of the soil is large compared to the dimensions (semi-infinite)
